Meet our Animals - Eastern Brown Snake

Psuedonaja textilis or Eastern Brown Snake lives on the eastern half of Australia and is the largest of the genus. These are classed as dangerously venomous are a fast moving snake and if cornered or harassed will raise the front of their body in a S pattern up with mouth open and strike repeatedly when they feel they are in danger. As with all snakes if your not sure what it is and you come across one close to you stay still and it will generally move on if it doesn't back away from it very slowly.
